IN ON AT
Months, Years, centuries Days and Dates Precise time

IN

  • In January

  • In the morning

  • In 1986

  • In the 1970s


Examples:

I was born IN 1986.

I brush my teeth IN the morning.

I finish work IN the afternoon

 

ON

  • On the 1st of May

  • On Monday

  • On Christmas Day

  • On my birthday

  • On the 25th of June


Example:

ON Monday I go to work.

My Birthday is ON the 23rd of April.

We eat turkey ON Christmas day.

 

AT

  • At three o’clock

  • At night

  • At midday (12pm)

  • At midnight (12am)

  • At the weekend


Examples:

I go to bed AT night.

AT midday I have lunch.

I go to the beach AT the weekend.
