Move to Spain - Have my life! It´s easy

Move to Spain - Have my life! It´s easy!

Last Sunday, this is how we spent our Sunday afternoon, chillin' up the Mountain at Montserrat! Just another mountaintop Benedictine monastery you know!

Hello, Hola! Buenos días!

So, hello to you from us lot, just a few of the Oxinity team of English teachers here in Barcelona. We're all lucky enough to live here and this day out is typical of life here in Barcelona... either chillin' in the mountains or chillin' at the beach! It's Spanish life and we love it! Move to Spain, have my life - it´s easy to do!

Let me introduce myself, I'm Ryan, and I'm from London.

¨Here I am at a Barca match at Camp Nou. I'm in my 30's (let's just say that!) and I've lived here in a Barcelona for 2 years now. I'm an English teacher here in the city, and I live by the beach....it's heaven.¨

My friends that I work with are from all different places and are all different ages... and we met here doing the same thing...being teachers! We are all part of the Oxinity team, check us out here on our social media links to see what kind of people we are and what our lives are like.

If you are feeling inspired, and interested in doing what we do then connect with us because we love to share our experience with others and to inspire people to do just as we've done.

Paulina 23, from Ireland.

"I've been here for 9 months now, and I am loving life in the sun, rollerblading down the beach and paddle boarding at the weekend. Before this, I was an adventurer stuck in University studying in the rain!! So hallelujah I found out that I could move here and be an English teacher!"

Nick 30, from South Africa.

"I completed a 4 week TEFL training course here at Oxbridge  2 months ago and I've been working as a teacher here since then! My first 2 months has been awesome, and it's payday next week! So I think it's time to party!"

Looking for a change?

If you are looking for something new and exciting to do or needing a change in your life, change of scenery and some time in the sun, move to Spain, have my life - it´s easy to do!

You see if you speak English it´s all you need because you can live here and work as an English teacher just like us. The only requirement is that you can speak English and that you love people....EASY!

Comfortable settings in an ESL classroom
by Toby Knight
How well can you remember your first classroom at school? I can vividly remember walking into the classroom to be greeted by Mrs Magdalia, who had a book in her hand. She asked me if I knew what the word on the page of the book on the desk was. The word was “look”, and I didn’t know it, but I didn’t feel disappointed or unha...

Learning Styles and the Different Approaches to Them
by James Ekins
We are all different; it is a part of the human condition. One obvious but often unspoken difference between us is the different learning styles that we can use. But how can these differences affect learning? Or teaching? In the early 90’s, Neil Fleming proposed one of the currently more prominent models relating to the ways that different p...

Use of videos to teach topic activities in an ESL class
by James Ekins
A great benefit of being able to use the internet in the classroom is the ability to draw on it for some excellent, previously inaccessible resources for learning. Perhaps most notably, the use of videos in a class can prove to be extremely useful. But, as with all things, there is a right and a wrong way to do it. So what should the standard...

Controversial Topics: How to Approach Them in the ESL Classroom
by James Ekins
Every one of us has at one time, in the classroom or outside of it, felt that sinking feeling – somebody in the group says a controversial topic, and that point is met by a wall of uncomfortable silence. Or worse, by a thunder of bristled opposition. Discussing hot-button issues can often be tricky, but it is important not to skirt away from ...

Whether you teach a language, an instrument, a profession or a sport all teachers have many responsibilities. ESL teaching and the Internet. The virtual classroom
by Vincent Chieppa
ESL teaching and the Internet - From Apple's iPod to Google's driver-less cars, technology is playing a massive role in the 21st century. This is not to say that it is the solution to 21st century education, but simply a tool to aid education and learning and, although it can be a great tool, any learning concerning technology should...
