I've had enough

Do you know how to use the word 'enough'?

Enough can be used as an adverb or as an adjective to express degree

Is your tea hot enough? (adjective)

She didn't work hard enough (adverb)

It can also be used to mean quite

He is not good enough.

Strangely enough, he was really bad at acting

It can also be used before nouns to mean as much, as necessary

We have enough food for everyone

They don't have enough bread

Sayings with 'enough'

1. Enough is Enough - when you want something to stop

I said enough is enough

2. Enough said - when you understand what they have said and don't want to say any more.

Schools in general don't want any part of it, enough said.

3. She's had enough - wanting to stop because it is frustrating

She has had enough for one day.

4. That's enough - when you want to tell someone to stop doing something (bad behaviour)

That's enough, now go to your room.
