Morgan v Jones - Guns in America

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XZvMwcluEg

Was it a debate? A BERATING? A SURREAL televised ''stunt''?

Alex Jones, a radio presenter in Austin Texas and a believer that everyone has a right to own a gun went on Piers Morgan’s CNN show the other week. Jones has started a petition to deport Morgan back to the UK for expressing his views on gun control, as Jones believes he is attacking the Second Amendment.

Morgan said ''I'm in favour of a nationwide ban on military-style semi-automatic assault weapons,'' he said as he opened his Monday night show, before introducing Jones.
In the debate Jones’ temper quickly FLARED and this lead to very strange comments made including “1776 (important year in American Revolution against Britain,) will commence again if you try to take our FIREARMS! It doesn't matter how many LEMMINGS you get out on the street begging for them to have their guns taken! We will not RELINQUISH them! Do you understand?'' Jones also believes that the world banks are trying to take away American guns to control the planet.

The day after, the debate was the most talked about on social networks especially Twitter.

Morgan said the day after the interview “I can't think of a better advertisement for gun control than Alex Jones' interview last night. It was STARTLING, it was terrifying in parts. It was completely DELUDED. It was based on a premise of making Americans so fearful that they all rush out to buy even more guns.''

What do you think about the article?
What do you think about Alex Jones?
Does Piers Morgan have a right to challenge the Second Amendment as he is British?
What do you think about the 'right to bear arms'?
