I am going to......do more exercise
I AM GOING TO - Future simple to express things in the immediate future.
So when we make New Year's Resolutions we normally use GOING TO to express actions in the near future.
Structure
- I am going to sing
- I am not going to sing
- Are you going to sing?
We use Signal Words with GOING TO
- in one year, next week, tomorrow
- Tomorrow, I am going to take the train
Most common New Year's Resolutions:
- I am going to stop smoking
- I am going to do more exercise
- I am going to see my family once a week
- I am going to donate to charity
- I am going to eat healthy food
