After reading this article, I'm surprised at the Tories new policy proposal, what with their anti-European stance . I completely agree with the idea of learning a language at an early age however, I think that the focus should be on the way that we teach, the methodology rather than arguing that 'languages makes you smarter'.

Has anyone ever questioned methodology, starting at a young age is not a solution, this idea is old and outdated.

So my question is...are we applying the right method when teaching a foreign language?
