185 things to do with a Pig

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRETz2F-heQ

Christien Meindertsma, author of "Pig 05049" decided to take a look at the afterlife of this pig and find out how many parts of this animal were used and for what.

It resulted in at least 185 non-pork products, from bullets to artificial hearts. In Denmark there are 16 million people and 12 million pigs. They only eat about a third and the rest are exported across Europe.

Christien spent three years researching PIG 05049 and where and what it’s body parts are used for. She said that Farmers and consumer’s have no clue what their pigs were made of.

This pig and all other pigs have seven chapters in its life – Skin, Bone, Meat, Internal Organs, Blood, Fat and Miscellaneous. IT weighs an average 103.7kg.

You'll be amazed at what we use Pig Parts for in our everyday life.
