English Tips #2 - it's vs. its

So, it's vs. its.....which one????

it's and its cause all sorts of problems. Take a minute to understand the difference between the two.

IT'S is a contraction for 'it is or it has'

- it's raining in London. (it is)

- it's been a long time since I played the piano. (it has)

ITS is a possessive form in other words 'of it' or belonging to it.
