i.e. – that is

e.g. – for example

examples:

i.e. - We will have caramel corn, roasted pumpkin seeds, witches' brew and ghost cookies on this spooky night, i.e., Halloween.

e.g. We have a lot of activities planned for the school party e.g., baseball, basketball, karaoke, and so on.


Dos and Don'ts

A comma follows i.e. and e.g.

Don’t italicize i.e. or e.g. (i.e. + e.g.)
